Vision-X 2013 will once again have the ‘Eye-Connect’ Hosted Buyer Programme that provides buyers the opportunity to meet the right exhibitors for their line of work.

Over 120 exhibitors and 3,900 visitors from more than 63 countries attended Vision-X 2012. The event’s organizers, Dubai World Trade Center, are hoping to increase this number substantially this year, and underline the fact that Vision-X is still the leading optical and ophthalmic exhibition in the Middle East. This year the event will be held between 9th and 11th April, 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

 

Feedback from visitors at Vision-X 2012’s event was very favourable. 72 percent of these visitors rated the show as good to excellent, while 82 percent rated the quality of the exhibitors as good to excellent. Even exhibitors were happy with the response at Vision-X 2012 with 94 percent claiming that
they met their objectives for exhibiting at the event.

 

Poya Eghterafi, Executive Director of EGMA Optical Supplies revealed that his company concluded AED 8 million in sales during the exhibition in 2012, while Ahmad Hamou, Sales Manager-Optical Division at Al Amin Medical Instruments (Amico), estimated that his company achieved between AED 1.5 and AED 2 million in sales at Vision-X.

 

Buoyed by this response, Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Center and organiser of Vision-X Dubai said, “Last year’s event once again gave exhibitors and visitors an opportunity to learn about, and share, the latest technologies and trends in the industry.”
