Opti 2016 : Exciting Times Ahead!

The trade show for optics and design will be host to around 550 exhibitors with 60 independent & fashion labels. Visitors to Opti 2016 can also look forward to a number of new exhibitors who may turn out to be the optic stars of tomorrow

Four halls filled with news, information and great progress. That is how Opti in Munich presents itself from 15th to 17th January 2016. As the international trade show for optics & design, the event presents the entire spectrum of optics ranging from frames, ophthalmic lenses, contact lenses and low-vision products to shop set-up, technical equipment as well as devices. This makes opti the platform for product premieres by international market leaders and start-up companies alike.

In addition to the 550 exhibitors, this time the grand exhibition will feature around 60 independent and fashion labels will be presenting their hottest new designs. Another highlight of the event will be the opti boxes laid out in the !Hot area. Sixteen newcomers will be presenting their eyewear designs in this section. Furthermore, a few companies have also used the Opti boxes as a springboard and will be presenting at their own stands for the first time in 2016.F_150_2_1_N_ELM_2736_1_1

The companies that have confirmed their participation for the grand event include Glasses Manufactory S*,Code ADN SAS (Brand: iHUMAN), Dabrach, Dick Moby, DIMA 2001 s.r.l  (Brand: David Marc), D.T. SRLS, Emian Böhe sunglasses, housebrand, iolani eyewear, Nogs, Projekt Samsen, Reinke Eyewear, Stefan Kästner, You Mawo GmbH and wood and cotton.Visitors can also look forward to performances by all representatives of the 2015 opti box generation, including Hapter, Isla Calavera, Clement Gouverneur, EYECON as well as paperstyle. Their stands will be premiering in Halls C1 and C4.

Bettina Reiter, Project Manager of Opti said, “We have increased the exhibition area this year. The four exhibition halls are ready and already well booked. This year, our focus is on ensuring that more and more companies are able to participate in the Opti. But the demand is greater than the space in the four halls.”

Certified by FKM Society for Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics, last year’s Opti was attended by 25 671 visitors. Overall 528 companies from 36 different countries presented their products at the last edition.

Commenting on the statistics for last year, Dieter Dohr, Managing Director of GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, said “It is important for us to get the data examined by an independent body every year. Because we want to give exhibitors and visitors a reliable, transparent and independent data for their reference.”
