Indian Vision Institute Hosts 3 Day Workshop For Professionals In Maharashtra

India Vision Institute (IVI) in collaboration with 2.5 New Vision Generation, a division of Essilor India Pvt Ltd organized a three day comprehensive hands-on capacity building workshop for a group of 25 vision care professionals from 30th May to 01st June 2015

The three day program helped primary eyecare professionals from Nanded and Jalna districts of Maharashtra gain knowledge in refraction and dispensing, soft skills and entrepreneurship development.

“The workshop will enhance the skill sets of vision care professionals in effectively meeting the needs of rural India. National ophthalmic association as a professional body representing these practitioners has always shown keen interest in such initiatives. I look forward to working together with NOA as part of IVI’s efforts in strengthening Indian optometry” Mr Vinod Daniel, CEO IVI, said on the occasion. This is the 9th workshop in the series of training programs conceptualized and implemented by India Vision institute following an agreement with 2.5 New Vision Generation, a division of Essilor India Pvt Ltd to hold capacity building workshops for ophthalmic officers especially in Tier II and Tier III cities. The earlier workshops held in Rohtak, Trichy, Aurangabad, Patna, Ludhiana, Rajahmundry, Tumkur and Ranchi has so far trained 270 ophthalmic officers since 2013.
