Kefan Optics & Nikon-Essilor Co. Ltd   Announce Joint Venture

In line with its motive of providing latest in ophthalmic lens technology, the two organisations have combined forces

On October 31, 2015, Kefan Optics and Nikon-Essilor Co. Ltd announced a joint venture to provide the latest in 20151027_112550 (1)ophthalmic lens technology to the Middle East region. The joint venture combines the global resources and expertise of Nikon-Essilor Co., Ltd and the trusted leaders in the Middle East region in optics, Kefan Optics. It will operate under the name Nikon Optical Middle East WLL and will be based in Kuwait. The joint venture will capitalise on the global reputation and expertise of Nikon-Essilor Co. Ltd and the local familiarity and consumer trust of Kefan Optics in the region.

Nikon has forged a leadership position in the development of the most advanced lens materials and coatings in the market today. “Since 1998, we have been very fortunate to have strong partner representing our brand through Kefan Optics. This strategic distribution alliance helped establish brand recognition for Nikon through Kefan’s vast distribution offices,” says Takeyasu Hirose, Business Director Nikon Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Africa at Nikon-Essilor Co., Ltd.
