IVI-NVG Organise Capacity Building Workshops For NOA In Andhra Pradesh And Karnataka

India Vision Institute (IVI) organised two comprehensive hands-on capacity building workshops on Refraction and Dispensing for a group of 29 vision care professionals of the National Ophthalmic Association (NOA) Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh) from 11 to 14 December, 2014 and for a group of 50 vision care professionals of the NOA Tumkur (Karnataka) from 17 to 19 December, 2014.

Ms Sandhya Shekar and Mr M Chandra Shekher from IVI facilitated the workshop covering a range of topics including essentials of refraction, ophthalmic dispensing, ocular emergencies, soft skills and entrepreneurship development. The workshop comprised of both technical and practical sessions.

This sixth and seventh workshop was organised by IVI following an agreement between IVI and New Vision Generation India Pvt Ltd (NVG) to hold capacity building workshops for ophthalmic officers. Previous workshops held at Rohtak in December 2013; Trichy in February 2014; Aurangabad in August 2014; Patna in September 2014; Ludhiana in November 2014 and Rajahmundry in December 2014 were very well received.
