Safilo Unveils New Collection In Special Preview

Safilo has introduced its new collection consisting of impressive eyewear models across various brands including Gucci, Max Mara, Jimmy Choo and many others

Safilo, one of the leaders in premium eyewear brands hosted an exclusive preview of their New Eyewear Collection for the upcoming season. The event was hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai on April 4, 2016. With over 80 years of experience in prescription frames, sunglasses, fashion and sports eyewear categories, Safilo houses brands like BOSS, Carrera, Fendi, Fossil, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Polaroid, Oxydo and many others.

The preview consisted of latest eyewear models from various international brands. Safilo will be showcasing eyewear from all these international brands highlighting various trends, themes and styles that have been conceptualised especially keeping in mind the demands for the upcoming season.

In terms of shapes, the new collections had a lot of interesting options to offer. While one could see a subtle inspiration from the retro theme, many brands also highlighted the use of classic shapes like round frames that have once again emerged as a popular choice amongst the fashion aficionados.

Jimmy Choo’s new collection was focused on embellishments and integrating them into impressive designs. Embellishment and luxurious detailing is de rigueur as the new eyewear introduced jeweled ornamentation, exotic leather inlays and bands of glitter that harmonise with the brand’s accessories collections.

One of the models displayed in the new collection by Carrera included the 113/S model, an iconic reinvented pilot frame that is feather light. The laser cut frame in stainless steel is complemented with a matte finish, matching the heritage associated with the brand. Even Fendi had an impressive range on display as part of Safilo’s preview. The new collection by Fendi included floating architectures that define new cut-out volumes and a new interpretation of the ‘frame within a frame’ concept, creating contrasts between the round lenses and the cat-eye shape. The preview also had the new round color-block styles that feature unexpected blends between natural Havana shades and vibrant hues.

Other brands that were displayed during this preview included Boss Orange, Juicy Couture, Polaroid, Fossil, Oxydo, Marc Jacobs and many more.
