One of the eye care profession’s largest destination for learning and discovery and, most importantly, fulfilling needs to purchase the newest products and technologies, the 2015 edition of the International Vision Expo West will be held from September 16-19 (Education: September 16-19 and Exhibition: September 17-19) at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA.
The event continues to be one of the industry’s most revered platforms that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas, apart from being a popular buying hub. This year’s show is all set to start with a bang. The opening night party will be hosted on Thursday, September 17. The opening event will double up as a networking platform, giving the dignitaries from the industry a unique opportunity to connect with each other in an informal environment. Additionally, the opening night also features a performance by Eye Docs of Rock, a famous all-optometrist band. The following day will see special events being held for OD’s on Facebook and Vision Source. The expo also includes special sessions for students that will be hosted on Saturday. Through these sessions, students are expected to gain greater insight into the key trends governing the growth of the industry as both opticians and OD’s will be interacting with them during the afternoon and evening. Being crowd sourced, these sessions will put the attendees in control of the content that they need the speakers to cover.
International Vision Expo always strives to enhance the education program, and adding new tracks that tackle trending industry topics. Education for every role and experience level are focused on three core competencies – disease diagnosis and treatment, clinical application of products and healthy business solutions. Track highlights for Vision Expo West 2015 include Crowd Sourced Learning, Frame Buyer’s Certificate Program, Hands on Workshops, Keynotes (formerly the Spotlight Series), Alcon Air Optics Colors Education Salon (Thursday evening education) and a Retail Track.
International Vision Expo also brings together the most talented experts from all areas of clinical care to provide attendees with extensive and cutting-edge education in ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lenses, therapeutics and much more. Attendees will also learn how to accurately bill and code these services to increase profitability. Track highlights for Vision Expo West 2015 include Anterior Segment, Glaucoma, Global Contact Lens Forum, Imaging Technology, Ocular Wellness Program, Pharmacology, Posterior Segment & Macular Degeneration, Sports Vision, Systemic Disease and Neuro and updates to the Optical Boot Camp and Spectacle Lens Expert Track.
