Helping the people through different social services has been the motto of NGO- Janseva Foundation-Being the Change.
The organisation conducted several activities for common people in the past, and this time, they organised a free medical eye check-up camp with free cataract surgery & distribution of spectacles on 30th June 2013 at Om Shree Sai Kadeshwari Mitra Mandal, Mount Mary’s, Kadeshwari Road, Bandra (W), Mumbai. The presence of eye patients was beyond expectation, as 1040 eye patients across Mumbai and suburb areas attended the unique camp where good number of eye specialist and surgeons were offering their noble services. Out of the present patients, 35 were booked for cataract surgery. 900 Free spectacles were also distributed. The event also focused on creating awareness about the significance of eye donation.
The event was being supported by dignitaries from different sectors. Member of Parliament, Ms. Priya Dutt was chief guest for the event. MLA Baba Siddiqui, Bandra Corporator Mrs. Karen D’Mello, Maharashtra State Senate Member & board member of Sir JJ group of Hospital, Dr. Raj Tendulkar & Sanjana Jon, International fashion designer, Dr Rahul Shah, Mr Asif Zakaria ( Muncipal Council), Dr.Meena R.
