Smart Glass specialists Waterside Labs is exhibiting at SILMO, Paris Villepinte, from 26 to 29 September 2014, for the first time this year. At this major trade show for the optics and eyewear sector, Waterside Labs will be showcasing an exclusive range of products including its Smart frames for Google Glass and Smart GOLD lens design, which provides a distortion-free zone for viewing Heads Up Displays – positioned in an area where aberrations would otherwise occur. Smart GOLD lenses are available in an extensive prescription range in Single Vision, Bifocal and Progressive designs.

SILMO also provides Waterside with the opportunity to introduce its exclusive Infinity digital lens series, which includes its unique NANO design, to markets outside of the UK. According to Waterside, it is the world’s first progressive with a fitting height of only 10mm. Made for the European fashion conscious, the Infinity Colours lens collection provides photochromics in vibrant hues such as Pink, Violet and even Green. All Infinity lenses can be supplied with another Waterside ‘exclusive’ PUREVIEW, the ‘no bloom’ anti-reflection coating which provides good clarity with up to 99.7 per cent transmission.
Successful dispensing of modern bespoke progressives such as the Infinity series requires specific and accurate measurements including; individual PDs, fitting heights, wrap angle, BVD and panto angle. OptikamPad from Waterside is the ultra-portable measuring system and dispensing aid, which incorporates the iPad Air. One photograph providing 10 measurements coupled with interactive sales / dispensing aid functions, OptikamPad enhances the dispensing experience for the eye-care professional and patient alike.
Amongst the frame products on display from Waterside will be the new E+AB specialist frame collection for use with Self Contained Breathing Apparatus and dive masks. This patented design can be worn during everyday use yet provides a gas / watertight seal when worn in conjunction with full-face masks.
