Wiley X: Sealed With Style And Safety!

Born out of curiosity of two kids almost 30 years back, this brand has now turned into a popular and respected fast-growing global company for protective eyewear!

30 Years ago, Wiley X owners Dan Freeman and Myles Freeman, Jr. were just kids sweating summers off in the warehouse, helping their dad out with his small but innovative protective eyewear company.

Their father, Myles Freeman Sr. – a military veteran – started Wiley X with the aim to protect the eyes of soldiers. While Wiley X remains a major supplier of eyewear and gloves to military forces around the world, it has since become a burgeoning outdoor lifestyle and sports brand.

Dan and Myles Jr. are quick to credit their success to passionate, committed employees and highly supportive retail partners. They both agree, however, that above all, their success is due to the fact that they have remained true to their father’s original vision to make the most protective and stylish eyewear available, wherever needed.

Providing Protection Since 30 Years And Counting

In 1987, Wiley X, Inc. began its quest to become a world leader in the research, development and marketing of protective eyewear and gloves for military, law enforcement and civilian markets. Developing unparalleled relationships with U.S. Armed Forces and elite Special Forces units, Wiley X remains a standard issue item with many of these forces. Wiley X’s success quickly escalated when commercial markets relying on impact resistance began to reach out due to the tremendous reputation Wiley X established within the military and law enforcement markets.

These markets included sport, hunting and shooting, motorcycle riding, fishing, hiking, biking and various extreme sports. Although based in Livermore, California USA, in 2007 Wiley X built an office in the town of Vemb, Denmark to manage and facilitate all European, Middle Eastern and African markets.

Benchmark Of Safety Around The Globe!

Wiley X has set the benchmark for safety, style, and utility in the premium performance sunglass category by absolutely insisting that all adult premium eyewear products meet the EN166 and ANSI Z87.1 safety standard for High Velocity / High Mass Impact. Furthermore, it’s no secret that many models also meet various MIL-SPEC ballistic military standards for both goggles and spectacles.

Today, this very same ballistic technology is available to many civilian markets. The eyewear with patented Removable Facial Cavity™ Seals cut through Mother Nature’s harshest elements by protecting from wind, dust, debris, and peripheral light while boosting polarization. The end result provides the most functional viewing experience possible for our customers.
