Welcome The Jury Member For ZEISS 'YOU&EYE' AWARDS 2017: Nilesh Thite

Mr Nilesh Thite, Director of Educational Programs at IACLE, has been chosen as Jury Member for ZEISS ‘YOU&EYE’ AWARDS 2017 to be held on 18th November, 2017. The jury members form the deciding body for the category of Clinical Support and we want to make sure it involves just the best. To ensure fair judgement, we have chosen only those who have the qualifications, experience and knowledge of the industry, products and technology and possess the capability to evaluate and judge accordingly.

Nilesh

Mr Nilesh is a post graduate in Optometry with over 14 years of teaching experience. He has  3 years corporate experience at Bausch + Lomb, India and has managed educational programs globally for the International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) for over 3 years.

Currently, Mr Nilesh is the Director of Educational Programs at IACLE. He is also Director and Co-founder of a unique educational initiative – Masterclass Optometry. Post his corporate stint with Bausch + Lomb India, he continues to offer his consultation to the organization.

Optometrist Nilesh Thite, Director of Educational Programs, International Association for Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) received the prestigious Fellowship of British Contact Lens Association (FBCLA) during its clinical conference held in Manchester, England in 2013.

NileshMr Nilesh has a vast experience in teaching subjects like Dispensing Optics, Contact Lenses and Refraction. He has presented scientific papers/posters in many national and international conferences and has published papers in peer reviewed journals. He has a keen interest in Optometry Education and Scope of Optometry Practice in India and overseas.

He has delivered a two-week course on advanced contact lenses to postgraduate optometry students and conducted a two hour seminar for ophthalmology residents and consultants at the University of Gondar in Ethiopia. He has also contributed as a Visiting Lecturer and External Examiner at various optometry institutes in various subjects.

He will be the Jury Member for the category of Clinical Support, with the 4 others. Mr Nilesh holds the authority to assess the technology and equipment used by participating opticians as well as the staff appointed by them for the benefit of the customers. He sure has an eye for the best and this will help us in choosing the best optical organisation, practicing the best ways to provide clinical support to their customers.
