Clear Sky Celebrations For Silhouette Eyewear

The eyewear company has released a new collection made from a bio-circular material made with organic waste from agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture

Silhouette has introduced an eyewear collection made from a new bio-circular material made with organic waste from industries like agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture.

SPX Green+ reduces carbon emissions by 60% compared to the production process of traditional raw materials made from fossil fuels, the company said.

The Clear Sky collection features eight designs made from the new material. The frames draw inspiration from the vibrant hues and translucent details of the Mediterranean ecosystem.

Michael Schmied, chief marketing officer of Silhouette and grandson of the company’s founders, commented: “There is a major shift going on with consumer behaviour; the idea of sustainable goods and services is a priority.”

“Clear Sky is our solution to a problem we all face with climate change, one frame at a time,” he added.

Arizona Muse, a model and Global Sustainability Advocate is a brand ambassador for the collection and the face of the eyewear campaign The World We Want To See.

Muse described the collection as a “big step forward for the optical and fashion industries,” adding: “The Clear Sky collection is everything I’m looking for in eyewear and fashion.”
