Bangalore Welcomes MEI Optical Facility

MEI celebrates the grand opening of new Bangalore facility in India

MEI has officially inaugurated its new facility in Bangalore, marking the launch of the MEI India subsidiary. Held on July 4th and 5th, the Grand Opening event was a landmark occasion for the company.

The celebration began with a ribbon-cutting and lamp-lighting ceremony led by MEI President Stefano Sonzogni. The traditional lamp-lighting, symbolising unity, respect, and shared purpose, represented the removal of darkness and the spreading of light—an apt metaphor for the new chapter MEI embarks on in India.

The event welcomed several industry professionals, companies, and attendees, offering opportunities for engagement and insightful interviews throughout the celebration.

The Bangalore facility features a fully equipped showroom with MEI machines for live demonstrations conducted by trained technicians.

A local warehouse ensures faster spare parts delivery, reducing customer inventory requirements. The MEI Bangalore optical facility also includes a repair division and a dedicated tool resharpening unit.
