Dubai Lives Up To Its Promise. Delivers a Magnificent international optical show.

They came, they saw and of course they loved it! Yes, the second edition of the coveted VisionPlus EXPO in Dubai ended on a positive note with visitors and participants loving every minute of the three-day extravaganza!

Participations from the industry biggies, a stellar display in eyewear, optic technology, accessories, contact lens and many other categories, knowledge sharing and so much more - a grand celebration of the achievements of the optical industry. Yes! This is what the visitors had to say about the second edition of the VisionPlus EXPO.

The three-day exhibition received an overwhelming response with visitors pouring in from several parts of the world.

VisionPlus EXPO managed to give a holistic experience for every visitor wanting to be updated with the latest in the optical trade.

Brands on display included ZEISS, Vision Rx, ROLF, ANDY WOLF, ZILLI, CHARRIOL, ANY DI, VAVA Eyewear, LAFONT, MINIMA, J F REY, OPAL DEMETZ, MONOGRAM, LANCEL, AZZARO, TOKAI, SCHNEIDER, MEI, among many others.

From chic designs to classy colours, the range was appreciated by the visitors. The exhibiting brands gained several buyers. Additionally, the event proved to be an excellent chance for them to connect to prospective buyers.

So, there was an exhaustive display that helped them to catch up with the latest in terms of fashionable eyewear and innovative eyecare technology. But that’s not it! There were sessions  planned by VP Academy - forum for eyecare professionals with study topics curated by some of the best in the region. Opticians, Optometrists and other members- of the optical trade gained extensively from these courses (also getting CME certifications approved by Dubai Health Authority).

This year the sessions also included a panel discussion that focussed on possible ways for the interprofessional collaboration between optometry and ophthalmology. Speakers at the VP Academy sessions included stalwarts from the industry -   like Dr.Yazan Gammoh,Chair of Education Committee World Council of Optometry, Chair of Optometry Department Al Ahliyya Amman University; Nilesh Thite, Executive Manager of Educational Programs International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) and Zachary Cairns, Deputy Head Optometrist, Moorfields Eye Hospital UAE, among others.

And the awards

Is a celebration complete without recognition! As a celebration of the excellence in the optical trade, VisionPlus EXPO also hosted the VP Awards.

Being nominated by the esteemed panel of judges was a huge victory in itself because it clearly indicates the superiority of the entry product amongst various options available in the industry. And then, the winners walked away with the coveted trophy - a recognition of the excellence that they have achieved and that the industry has appreciated.

The entire process was planned in a way that the brands got an opportunity to understand the opinion of the opticians and in turn further strengthen their position in the market.

As the curtains were drawn for the second edition, enquiries already started about the next one. Clearly the VisionPlus EXPO has once again emerged as one of the most loved and appreciated optical trade show in the MENA region.

Mahdiyeh Roshanpour from Farzad Setoude Trading, Iran, winner of the ‘Win a Trip to Dubai’ offer hosted as part of the VisionPlus EXPO. Mahdiyeh was chosen from a pool of more than 2,500 visitors that registered for this year’s event!

 

Charles Martin of I-LUX Optics, Nigeria, one of the winners to walk away with a gold coin. The coin was a special token reserved for those who made a purchase of AED 5,000 or more at the VisionPlus EXPO.
