From chic designs to classy colours, the range was appreciated by the visitors. The exhibiting brands gained several buyers. Additionally, the event proved to be an excellent chance for them to connect to prospective buyers.

So, there was an exhaustive display that helped them to catch up with the latest in terms of fashionable eyewear and innovative eyecare technology. But that’s not it! There were sessions  planned by VP Academy - forum for eyecare professionals with study topics curated by some of the best in the region. Opticians, Optometrists and other members- of the optical trade gained extensively from these courses (also getting CME certifications approved by Dubai Health Authority).

This year the sessions also included a panel discussion that focussed on possible ways for the interprofessional collaboration between optometry and ophthalmology. Speakers at the VP Academy sessions included stalwarts from the industry -   like Dr.Yazan Gammoh,Chair of Education Committee World Council of Optometry, Chair of Optometry Department Al Ahliyya Amman University; Nilesh Thite, Executive Manager of Educational Programs International Association of Contact Lens Educators (IACLE) and Zachary Cairns, Deputy Head Optometrist, Moorfields Eye Hospital UAE, among others.

And the awards

Is a celebration complete without recognition! As a celebration of the excellence in the optical trade, VisionPlus EXPO also hosted the VP Awards.

Being nominated by the esteemed panel of judges was a huge victory in itself because it clearly indicates the superiority of the entry product amongst various options available in the industry. And then, the winners walked away with the coveted trophy - a recognition of the excellence that they have achieved and that the industry has appreciated.

The entire process was planned in a way that the brands got an opportunity to understand the opinion of the opticians and in turn further strengthen their position in the market.

As the curtains were drawn for the second edition, enquiries already started about the next one. Clearly the VisionPlus EXPO has once again emerged as one of the most loved and appreciated optical trade show in the MENA region.
