Silhouette Two New Collections Redefine Glamour
Rimless and Streamline - the two new collections from Silhouette portray the perfect blend of glamour and elegance, making a unique style statement for the wearer
Silhouette has never failed to impress with its exhaustive collections where each piece is carefully designed to give the wearer the best possible experience. This time again, the leading brand has introduced two new collections - Streamline and Rimless. Let's take a look at them.
The Rimless collection
Fisher Island and Star Island are among the most prestigious addresses in the Sunshine City Miami. Silhouette transforms the exclusivity of these islands with the new Rimless Shades models introduced as part of its SUN Collection 2022, making them tangible and above all wearable for everyone. As the world leader in Rimless eyewear, Silhouette's design expertise comes to the fore once more, only this time in the world of women's sunglasses.
For its new, ultralight Rimless Shades models, the Austrian premium eyewear manufacturer took inspiration from the elegant and refined design of high-end lamps. Both models of this collection can be 1:1 opticaly glazed, and come with custom-made frames at the in-house Lens Lab with the expertise of Silhouette Vision Sensations®.
Glamorous, minimalistic, and eye—catching
The Rimless Shades don’t just protect the eyes. They are a beautiful accessory that lets the femininity and style of the wearer shine through.
Despite their glamorous looks, the glasses also boast a minimalist aesthetic so that they remain understated and in step with contemporary fashion. "Minimalist, ultrathin titanium meets striking oversized lenses," says Roland Keplinger, neatly summarizing the design concept.
He further added, "The subtle embellishments, such as colour grooves and cutouts, create a standout look.” Adorning the areas between the lenses and temples, the cutouts add instant feminine charm and sophistication as well as accentuating the delicate finesse of the hinge and temple.
The sophisticated feminine charm
The lens edges have a milled and handcolored finish, displaying the meticulous craftsmanship that goes into all Silhouette glasses. The coloured edges, meanwhile, catch the eye and bring out the shape of the sunglasses.
The Rimless Shades Collection includes two new models that are available in the extrovert color combinations Deep Pink, and Black Et White in addition to the existing colors. Meanwhile, the Star Island model features a sloping double bridge that adds dynamic flair and creates a unique look.
The Streamline COLLECTION
Biscayne Bay, Cape Florida and Bayside: the names of the new models in the Streamline Collection are inspired by sporty places along the vibrant city of Miami - like ocean bays and marinas that invite you to go sailing. The Streamline Collection fluid transitions are inspired by the sleek simplicity of sailing boats. In addition, the models are Rimless and ultralight as you’d expect from the world leader in premium Rimless eyewear. All models can be 1 :1 optimally glazed, custom-made to their frames at the in-house Lens Lab with the expertise of Silhouette Vision Sensations®.
Dynamic design and perfect protection
The Streamline Collection "combines the best features of Silhouette glasses in a single package" explains RoIand Keplinger, Design Director at Silhouette. “Lightness. The perfect fit. And an aesthetically pleasing combination of materials.” In line with the overall design inspiration, the glasses also feature a dynamic new bridge and temple design.
The temple is made from SPX®+, a highly robust material created exclusively by Silhouette. What’s more, the design curves dynamically down from cheek to tip, where an inlay made of SPX®+ provides optimal fit and stability. The new models, Biscayne Bay, Cape Florida, and Bayside, are available in three shapes, and a variety of colour options such as Racing Red, Cool Gray, Pine Green, and the flagship colour Ocean Blue.
Precision—built, from lens to temple
The new Streamline models also come with some cutting-edge innovation: Photochromic lenses automatically become darker when there’s more sun, adjusting instantly and seamlessly to changing conditions. From the tip of the temple to the perfectly executed hand-colored line artwork, the glasses have the sleekest design around. Unlike many other models on the market, the sunglasses have a strong curvature which keeps more of the eye area protected from sunlight, wind, and water.
