The MIDO 2024 eyewear trade show, held in Milan, Italy, has concluded with resounding success. With over 40,000 attendees gracing the event over three days, representing an impressive 11% increase from the previous year.
This year's exhibition boasted an extensive showcase, with more than 1,200 exhibitors from around the world converging in seven pavilions.
Notably, the surge in participation was evenly distributed between Italian and international stakeholders, with representatives from 160 countries, spanning Asia, the United States, and Europe, among others.
Under the stewardship of MIDO President Giovanni Vitaloni, the event surpassed ambitious expectations, buoyed by robust sales activities and enthusiastic buyer engagement.
The partnership with the ITA-Italian Trade Agency underscored the show's commitment to quality, excellence, and transparency, particularly emphasising the renowned 'Made in Italy' craftsmanship.
Moreover, MIDO 2024 achieved substantial visibility across traditional media and digital platforms, with approximately 400 accredited journalists covering the event and generating over 150 articles across various international outlets. Online interactions soared, with social channels reaching 50% more individuals than the previous year and the event's content garnering over 2 million impressions.
Highlighted initiatives such as the Certified Sustainable Eyewear program and the Empowering Optical Women Leadership Program underscored MIDO's commitment to driving positive change within the industry, further solidifying its status as a beacon of innovation and progress.
