Safilo Appoints Andrea Zaffin As New Commercial Head IMEA

Safilo, a worldwide leader in the design, manufacturing and distribution  of eyewear, announces the appointment of Andrea Zaffin as Commercial Head IMEA, effective January 2019.

Andrea Zaffin, has been appointed as the new Commercial Head, IMEA of Safilo Group. He will be based in Dubai and will be spearheading the company’s business in India, Middle East and South Africa. He will be reporting directly to Angelo Trocchia, Safilo Group’s CEO. 

“We welcome Andrea who has long experience in the industry and in these very specific markets. He has strong entrepreneurial skills with a solid and successful background,” commented Angelo Trocchia.

Andrea’s work experience includes a tenure of  15 years at Luxottica, shouldering the responsibility of setting up the subsidiary in Dubai and establishing the business throughout the MEA region, thanks to his ability to work closely with distributors and creating with them strong partnerships. More recently, Andrea has worked with Italia Independent in a consultancy capacity with responsibility for the Middle East, Africa & India.
