The Delhi Eyewear Event, hosted by the Sterling Group happened with a great fanfare which included the who’s who of the optical fraternity in New Delhi at The Lalit hotel on Barakhamba Road from January 29-February1, 2013.
The tables were set, the lights were apt, the ambience was flawless, and the team was enthusiastic and was geared up to showcase the latest and the best of the products from the Sterling’s latest collections. With an array of a handful of renowned brands already in their portfolio, Sterling launched six more brands at the event: Nike, Michael Kors, Bebe, Nine West, Chloe and DVF. With numerous brands to indulge into, the event kick-started with enthusiastic buyers from all over the country, turning up from early in the morning and staying up till the wee hours of the night.
Apart from the new brands, the patrons were very excited to review the new collections from the existing brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, Valentino, Lacoste, CK, Calvin Klein Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, Scott and more. The collections were diverse, brilliant and versatile. They comprised of styles which were a perfect mix of the classics and the contemporary. There were a lot of colours and shapes enthused by the late 70s and early 80s: functionality and impeccable quality were an integral part of the collections. And this definitely kept the entrepreneurial spirits at an all time high.
The event also saw the launch of a new campaign of the ever popular house brand of Sterling’s. Scott – with a fresh image and a new logo seemed to be all set to take this year by storm! Besides Scott and Sprint the focus will be greatly on Tommy Hilfiger, CK ,Calvin Klein Jeans , Nike , Lacoste and French Connection this year.
With a new positioning strategy introduced at this event, Sterling surely looks poised to do even bigger volumes with their range of brands, in the near future.Brands like Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection who are already well established in the market witnessed an exceptional response from the customers at the event, according to the spokesperson from Sterling Group. Disney too was very well received, according to them.After long hours of business, it was time to let everyone’s hair down. And Sterling ensured that this was taken care of by creating an extravagant night out at Fio a beautiful restaurant located in the Garden of Five Sense at Mehrauli. Guests seemed to thoroughly enjoy every minute of the night with wining and dining to the tunes of some very catchy music.
