Panellists:

1. Yeshwant Saoji, Consultant Optometrist and Educator

Yeshwant Saoji is a senior optometrist from Nagpur specialising in the field of contact lenses and in practice for 24 years. He holds a Master’s degree in Optometry from the School Of Optometry, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune. He was a senior faculty at The Vision Care Institute of Johnson and Johnson India and a key opinion Leader for Bausch and Lomb. He was awarded the ‘Best Optometrist of the Year 2011’ by Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. His areas of practice are contact lenses in complicated corneas and speciality contact lenses, including Ortho K lenses. His clinic – Saoji Vision Care, has been voted as India’s first centre of excellence for fitting irregular corneas by David Thomas Contact Lenses of UK. For the love of education, he, along with Optom Nilesh Thite co-founded Masterclass Optometry with the intention of making a difference in Optometry Education in India.

2. Kunal Shah, CEO, Eyesavers

Kunal Shah is in practice for 19 years and is an experienced trainer in contact lenses and practice management. He graduated from Elite School of Optometry and is a fellow of the British Contact Lens Association. He is the Founder, Chief Optometrist, Ocularist and Orthokeratologist at Eye Savers.

3. Ajay Shinde, CEO and Optometrist, Shinde Eye Care Centre

Ajay Shinde graduated from Elite School of Optometry, Chennai in the year 1991 and completed his Masters from Lotus College of Optometry, Mumbai in 2013. He started his own clinic, Shinde Eye Care Centre in 1993 and has completed 27 years of practice. Apart from that, he has also been teaching Optometric Optics and Contact Lenses since 1996 in various institutions. Currently, Ajay Shinde is a visiting faculty at Sankara College of Optometry. He is one of the few lifetime awardees of FIACLE.
