Two years without an in-person event, two years of flipping through virtual catalogues, two years of video conferences: it’s been long. Too long!
The whole industry is looking forward to gathering at SILMO PARIS for the great autumn reunion of the optics and eyewear world! For this “reuniting” 2021 edition, exhibitors are responding favourably and the sales continue, with nearly 500 companies from 32 countries already registered. The exhibitors will be sought-after by opticians eager to discuss business, discover new designs, touch the products, enjoy the benefits of real-life encounters, and project themselves into the profession of the future.
That future is at the heart of the event’s identity, where tools are provided to assist you in your consideration, showcasing and information. The SILMO NEXT space – which invites the optical and eyewear industry to travel to its own future – assembles the glasses trends in tandem with the digital magazine TRENDS by SILMO, as well as eco-responsible products, smart products, a library of materials, and a marketplace. It will present lectures and workshops that address the industry’s future issues with interactive, forward-looking points of view from the experts.
The SILMO d’OR awards recognise and celebrate the talent and creativity of the entire industry each year. As the highest honour in our profession, these prizes will once again reveal the ingenuity and inventiveness of the entire field.
SILMO ACADEMY will award a €10,000 grant for a research project in the field of optics and vision science.
