Akoni Eyewear Shoots For Hyper-Luxury Arena

CEO Rosario Toscano describes Akoni Eyewear’s rebranding as a “brand evolution,” reinforcing its status as a luxury speciality firm. Since its 2021 launch, the brand has built a loyal customer base among “innovators” or trendsetters. 

To better serve this demographic, Akoni Eyewear is enhancing its positioning while embracing the philosophy of shokunin, the Japanese concept of perfecting one’s craft, aligning with the broader upscale trends in the eyewear sector. Toscano, who founded the brand under the Akoni Group—also managing eyewear licenses for Balmain and Valentino—emphasises that this new direction represents an evolution rather than a complete rebranding.
