Eyewear of the Golden Globes 2026

From bold sunglasses to smart optical frames, the 83rd Golden Globe Awards showed once again that eyewear is no longer just an accessory

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton on 11 January 2026, officially opening the awards season in true Hollywood style. With major wins for Hamnet, Jessie Buckley, Wagner Moura and Timothée Chalamet, the evening celebrated powerful performances, emotional storytelling and global talent.

But while the awards created headlines, fashion created memories. This year, eyewear stood out more than ever.

Glasses and sunglasses were not used to hide from the cameras—they were used to own the moment. Celebrities embraced frames as part of their identity, not just their outfit. From classic shapes to bold designs, eyewear became a way to show personality, confidence and modern luxury. The message was clear: frames are no longer optional. They are now as important as the dress, the suit or the shoes.

Women Who Framed the Night
Miley Cyrus once again owned the red carpet in Saint Laurent Sun SL 854 001 sunglasses. Oversized and bold, the frames matched her fearless personality and added drama to her look. She used eyewear not just as fashion, but as part of her storytelling.

Her mother, Tish Cyrus, also chose Saint Laurent, wearing the SL 692 004.

The matching brand choice created a stylish family moment, showing how eyewear can connect generations through shared taste and modern elegance.

Jen Statsky kept it simple and functional in Oliver Peoples Avelin OV5541SU polarised sunglasses, while bestselling author Mel Robbins stayed true to her signature Cutler and Gross 0772V2 B optical frames, proof that consistency can be just as powerful as experimentation.

Men Who Set the Tone
Connor Storrie made a strong first impression at the Golden Globes.

The Heated Rivalry star wore silver Saint Laurent Sun SL 97 002 sunglasses from the Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

The sleek metal frame gave him a sharp, futuristic look—clean, stylish and very 2026. It was the kind of eyewear that doesn’t shout, but still demands attention.

Joe Keery kept things cool and effortless in Persol Loris 3378S 95/31 sunglasses. Known for his relaxed fashion sense, Keery proved once again that simple designs can feel timeless.

His frames added a soft vintage touch to his look without trying too hard, reminding us that true
style often lies in comfort and confidence.

Fresh from winning Best Male Actor in a TV Comedy, Seth Rogen chose Garrett Leight Mr Leight Adonis optical glasses.

The black frame was smart but not serious, stylish without being loud. It showed how prescription eyewear can feel fashionable, confident and fully red-carpet ready.

Smart Style, Subtle Power
Amy Madigan looked elegant in Dita Lineus DTX 702 01 glasses. With their clean lines and sculpted shape, the frames added quiet luxury to her look. Dita continues to be a favourite for celebrities who prefer refined, timeless style over bold trends.

Jacob Elordi stayed true to his fashion identity in Jacques Marie Mage Casablanca sunglasses.

The bold black frame with light-tinted lenses felt modern and on trend. Light lenses were seen across the carpet this year, showing a shift towards softer, more expressive eyewear that allows the face to remain visible.

Adam Brody also embraced this trend with Oliver Peoples N.01 OV5528U 1731 sunglasses featuring light green lenses.

His look felt relaxed and natural, while Patrick Schwarzenegger chose black and gold Dolce & Gabbana DG3415 501 optical glasses, adding a polished, classic finish to his outfit.

When Frames Become Fashion
Walton Goggins delivered one of the boldest eyewear moments in Saint Laurent Sun SL 276 Mica 001 cat-eye sunglasses. The dramatic shape made a strong statement, proving that glasses can be as powerful as any piece of jewellery. His look was fearless, playful and completely unforgettable.

Snoop Dogg stayed loyal to his iconic oversized style in Versace 4391 GB1/87 sunglasses.

Effortless and instantly recognisable, his frames felt like an extension of his personality. His appearance reminded everyone that personal style does not need to change; it only needs to stay authentic.

Michael B. Jordan wore diamond-studded octagon frames with brown lenses that caught everyone’s attention. While the exact model remains unknown, the shape became one of the most talked-about.

Modern Icons, Modern Choices
Benicio del Toro embraced understated luxury in Bottega Veneta BV1359SA 001 sunglasses. The clean design reflected the brand’s calm and confident approach to fashion. It was subtle, stylish and perfectly suited to his personality.

Joel Edgerton refreshed a familiar style by wearing Tom Ford Penn frames with light grey lenses, showing how small changes can make a big difference.

Glen Powell leaned into the return of green lenses with Brunello Cucinelli BC3007 sunglasses, while Babyface broke style rules in Gentle Monster New Her butterfly frames, proving that bold shapes belong to everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Brian Ortega chose vintage Cartier, and John Krasinski surprised with colourful Caddis Muzzy optical glasses featuring a magenta-to-green gradient—one of the most playful and unexpected choices of the night.
