The Prada Group has extended its longstanding eyewear licensing agreement with EssilorLuxottica for an additional 10 years, solidifying their successful collaboration. Originally signed in 2003, the agreement covers the development, production, and distribution of eyewear for the Prada, Prada Linea Rossa and Miu Miu brands.
The current contract, which is set to expire on December 31, 2025, will now run through December 31, 2030, with an option to renew until 2035. Prada Group Chairman Patrizio Bertelli emphasised the value of this partnership, stating, “EssilorLuxottica has been a trusted and long-standing partner. Together, we’ve built a strong collaboration grounded in craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. This renewal reaffirms our shared vision for the future of eyewear.”
Francesco Milleri, Chairman and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Prada Group has been an extraordinary partner on our journey. This renewal marks our commitment to creating luxury eyewear that embodies refined elegance, bold irreverence, and sport-inspired dynamism. Together, we aim to deliver even greater innovations in the years to come.”
