Safilo Group, the Italian eyewear manufacturer, has undergone recent changes in its financial leadership. Michele Melotti has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer and will assume responsibility for preparing the company’s financial documents starting from August 28.
This move follows the resignation of Gerd Graehsler, the former CFO, who departed Safilo for a new opportunity. The announcement of Graehsler’s departure was made on Friday in Milan, where Safilo is publicly listed, while Melotti’s promotion was announced on Monday before the stock market opened. Despite these developments, the company’s shares showed a modest increase of 0.7 percent to 1.14 euros by mid-morning, indicating stability in the market.
