This year participants of the VisionPlus Awards competed across 19 categories and of course the special jury mention award.
In its eighth edition the VisionPlus Awards received nominations from leading brands all over the world. Understandably, the jury had a tough time short listing the nominees. But then with the best heads in the region on the job, no challenge is difficult!
The esteemed jury comprised Saleh Al Shawa from Al Jaber Optical, Mathews Jacob accompanied by Mushtaq Ahmed from Yateem Opticians, Abdullah Alsalman and Ahmed Alsalman from Al Salman Optics, Abdel Halim and Afzaal Ahmad from Eye Fashion Optics, Neeraj Dabral and Satendra Singh from Aster Opticals.
VisionPlus Awards was a grand celebration loaded with fun and entertainment. On the second day of the VisionPlus EXPO, the Festival Arena in Dubai was lit with the spirit of celebration as opticians from across the globe eagerly waited to watch the winners of VisionPlus Awards walk away with the trophies.
The event started with Mr. Siraj Bolar, Editor-in-Chief, VisionPlus Magazine, welcoming the guest and lauding the encouragement that the programme received in terms of participation from leading brands across the globe. This was followed by the MC delivering a special speech of thanks for the esteemed jury members for their contribution and the support that they lent to ensure the success of the programme.
One after the other, winners across each category walked the red carpet with the coveted trophy. Each announcement was greeted with cheer from the audience. And why not! the very concept of VisionPlus Awards revolves around celebrating the excellence and the advancements that the optical trade community has achieved during the year.
