Oakley donates $5M of Product to Good360 & Expands Support for OneSight on Giving Tuesday.
Sport has the power to nourish, inspire and unite. Oakley shines a light on this, especially as the world enters the holiday season, and continues to play its part in the community.
As part of a series of events to give back and ‘Share the Love’ this season, Oakley will donate $5M worth of Oakley products to the nonprofit Good360, which partners with socially responsible companies to source highly needed goods and distribute them to diverse nonprofits. Their mission is to transform lives by providing hope, dignity, and a sense of renewed possibility to individuals, families, and communities impacted by disasters or other challenging life circumstances.
To support this initiative with Good360, Oakley will also gift 100 athletes and influencers with a special holiday gift. The gift will include Origins collection eyewear plus five Oakley Holiday cards that recipients can give to their family and friends to share some holiday cheer. The package will arrive with a message that states the donation being made to Good360 on their behalf.
Last but not least, the North American Oakley Retail team will be ramping up in-store fundraising efforts to help OneSight raise some extra funds around the holidays. All Oakley Retail stores in the United States will be participating and Oakley Retail locations in Canada will be able to accept OneSight donations for the first time ever.
These philanthropic initiatives kicked off on Giving Tuesday (December 1, 2020), a national U.S. observance taking place every Tuesday after Thanksgiving that focuses on efforts to give back and unleash the power of people and organisations to transform their communities. This end-of-year program will spotlight Oakley’s Love of Sport messaging, tapping into its network of brand advocates and consumers to share the love with Oakley.
