ZEISS has introduced its new eyewear range in association with STEPPER. The idea is to bring together STEPPER expertise in designing frames with ZEISS’s experience in lens technology
On January 5, last year, ZEISS and STEPPER Eyewear signed a license agreement allowing STEPPER the exclusive use of the ZEISS trademark for manufacturing and worldwide distribution of optical frames, sunglasses and accessories.
The beginning of this collaboration showcased the ZEISS Eyewear (created by STEPPER) at a special preview held at Westin Oberoi Garden City in Mumbai on December 26, 2015. The event was hosted by STEPPER Eyewear India.
Invitees for the event including leading opticians from all over Mumbai. Members from the ZEISS team in Bangalore were also present on the occasion. Representatives from the ZEISS included Srinivasan Parthasarathy, Business Head and Tushar Phule, Manager – Business Development.
The ZEISS Eyewear models are available both male and female styles and offer an imaginative and exciting styling and materials execution creating frames that reflect and support the identity of the ZEISS brand. The eyewear is available in extensive range of sizes. The new collection displayed by ZEISS, during the event, comprised full rimmed, supra and rimless styles in TX5, Titanium and Beta-Titanium materials.
All ZEISS Eyewear metal frames and frame components are made of Titanium or its alloys weighing less than half the weight of conventional metals. This makes the frame a comfortable choice for daily wear.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sven Hermann, the Member of the Management Board of Carl Zeiss Vision International responsible for marketing said, “ZEISS enters into brand partnerships when they strengthen our brand. And this is the case with STEPPER.”
The leap from world class lenses to premium frames is a logical move and gives spectacle wearers a new ophthalmic frame brand choice. “All ZEISS EYEWEAR models share a modern, international design, extremely high-quality materials such as titanium and TX5. All feature outstanding comfort and fit,” commented Hans Stepper, STEPPER Eyewear.
