Cutler and Gross acquired a new production facility in Cadore Northern Italy, bringing together acetate and metal production under one roof.
“It’s a watershed moment” says Majid Mohammadi, CEO of Cutler and Gross. “It’s only 5 years since we bought our first factory and this new facility heralds an exciting phase in the growth and service delivery of our business.”
Since their first factory acquisition in 2008, the company’s turnover has grown 350% mainly due to increased production capacity. This new investment ensures their sales can continue to grow to meet ever increasing demand for their products without any compromise in the quality of their handmade optical frames and sunglasses.
The new factory purchase completes a substantial self-financed investment program. In just the last six months, Cutler and Gross has opened a design Atelier in North West London to support creativity and sampling, and has extended its commercial, administrative, PR and marketing departments in line with a new global growth strategy. Today the Cutler and Gross network includes 600 retail partners operating in 60 different countries. The new strategy provides key partners an opportunity to work more closely with Cutler and Gross in meeting the demands of their discerning clientele.
“Cutler and Gross is really quite unique in the industry. Our heritage, design and production quality together with our expertise in retail to A-list clients, can now be directed fully towards our optical and fashion partners. We can now do whatever we need to help our retail partners grow their own businesses!” Mr Mohammadi continued.
