For the first time Adlens®, the global leader in variable focus eyewear will be exhibiting at the world’s leading International Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology Exhibition: Mido.
Adlens® will officially present the recent joint venture with global eyewear distributor Mondottica during Milan’s three day optical fair which attracts a prestigious international audience. Signed in October 2012 and effective since January 2013, this agreement has led to the creation of Adlens® Europe, a strategic partnership that will facilitate the sale of Adlens®’ existing products in the European marketplace.
Mido will also offer Adlens® the opportunity to present itself to international trade representatives and journalists through an exclusive press conference scheduled to take place on 3rd March at 11 a.m. (Mondottica booth, hall 13, booth K01 L02). Held by Mike Ferrara, CEO and Executive Chairman, Adlens®, and Michael Jardine, CEO, Mondottica, the conference will introduce the world of Adlens® explaining its present and future objectives, including its recent achievements and new targets in the European market made possible by the joint venture with Mondottica.
During the press conference, Adlens® will unveil the exclusive John Lennon™ Collection Portraits, an amazing collection of photographs depicting people wearing the company’sinnovative variable focus eyewear from The John Lennon™ Collection. Based on the advanced Fluid-Injection technology that allows instant vision correction and immediate dispensing, the designs combine modern technology with the legendary style of the greatest rock’n’ roll icon of all time, John Lennon™.
Featuring famous Italian model and actress Benedetta Barzini, the campaign perfectly reflects the sociable and fun soul of Adlens®. Developed from an extraordinary philanthropic initiative into a global enterprise, the company has always shown a strong social commitment through its Buy One Give One programme: for every pair of Fluid-Injection glasses purchased the company donates a pair to communities in the developing world. Since the creation of the first prototype, over 30,000 variable focus glasses have been delivered to people in need.
The characters in the portraits also reflect the easy to use concept every Adlens® product embodies: guys and girls of different ages and different cultures from different backgrounds, expressing the same joy at the freedom of customising eyewear to improve their own eyesight using Adlens® technology.
A special event devoted to the unique John Lennon™ Portraits” campaign will take place at Mido. The amazing portraits will be displayed at a prestigious and elegant location. In a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, invited guests will be able to get closer to Adlens® and its innovative vision correction concept by trying on its cutting edge variable focus eyewear from The John Lennon™ Collection.
