Held every two years, the All India Optometry Conference has become a strong platform for everyone in the field of optometry to network and interact within the industry.
Indian Optometric Association’s 36th All India Optometry Conference is scheduled to be held from 6-8th September, 2014 at Jaypee Palace Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra, UP. Initially sceduled to take place from 26-28th April, 2014, the dates of the conference have been postponed due to the upcoming elections.
Over the years, practicing and aspiring optometrists have been a regular audience at the conference that forms a base to learn about the latest advancements in the field. The theme for the 2014 conference is ‘Optometry Update & Global Advancement’ and will provide the participants, a chance to present their research work and become part of the researchers’ community.
The research presentations shall cover a wide array of contemporary topics, ranging from scientific & technical matters to socio-economic to rehabilitation information. Besides the research presentations, the conference would include other academic events like ‘hands-on’ workshops on topics like ‘CL Fitting & Dispensing’, ‘Advanced Stilt Lamp techniques’, ‘Glaucoma Diagnostics’, ‘Retina Diagnosis’, ‘Low Vision Aids & Rehabilitation’ to name a few.
