Carl Zeiss’ Biggest Lens Factory In India

Carl Zeiss has unveiled an ambitious initiative to establish its largest vision factory in Bengaluru, India with a substantial investment of over 250 million euros.

The completion of the Bengaluru Vision factory by October 2024 will mark a significant milestone for Carl Zeiss India. With an investment of over 250 million euros, this state-of-the-art facility aims to revolutionize lens production, resulting in a remarkable sixfold increase in output.

Under the leadership of Miguel Gonzalez Diaz, the managing director of the Zeiss group, the factory is projected to manufacture an impressive 260,000 lenses per day. This ambitious expansion aligns with Carl Zeiss’ global strategy and recognizes the pivotal role of India in achieving its objectives. Furthermore, the factory will also produce metrology solutions, showcasing its extensive capabilities and comprehensive scope.
