Coburn Introduces New Technology

Coburn introduces new digital lens processing platforms and Huvitz diagnostic technology

Coburn Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of ophthalmic lens processing systems and ophthalmic instruments, in continuation of their dedication to advancements in eyecare, has introduced new technology and product offerings to kick off their 70th anniversary. This group of products spans two categories in the optical and ophthalmic industries: lens processing for labs and diagnostic equipment for eyecare professionals.

The NEXUS Digital Surfacing System leverages the technology in the acclaimed Cobalt Digital Lab to produce high-quality digital RX lenses. The system includes the NEXUS DGT Digital Lens Generator and the NEXUS DP Digital Lens Polisher. Each system represents a significant upgrade from its predecessor.

The Huvitz HT-5000 Applanation Tonometer is an easy, fast, and convenient device that quickly measures eye pressure. It is the only application tonometer on the market that processes IOP calculation virtually in real-time, displays results digitally, and has a zero-delay wakeup time. Calibration is simple with readings displayed more sensitively to the user’s control. HT-5000 is also designed for the patient and doctor’s comfort, including a slanted display to match the angle of the user’s view for more comfortable observation, and a wide grip knob for easier adjustment of measuring prism.
