The much-awaited VisionPlus Awards has now entered its final, and most exciting, stage. The grand jury meet concluded earlier this month on the 24th of August at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.
The raison d’etre of VP Awards has always been celebrating excellence in eyewear. Composed of arguably prominent and respected names in the optical retail chain space, the jury panel reviewed a galaxy of eyewear brands across 17 categories of various sunglasses, frames, contact lenses, instruments, and much more and shortlisted the creamy top!
Five eminent players in the optical retail industry congregated for the Jury Meet with the common, shared goal of working towards bringing the industry together. The esteemed jury comprised of the following: Saleh Al Shawa from Al Jaber Optical, Mathews Jacob accompanied by Mushtaq Ahmed from Yateem Opticians, Abdullah Hadi A Binrabbaa from Al Badr Optical, Rayan Rouhani from Saudi Optic House, Neeraj Dabral and Salam Waked from Aster Opticals. A crucial phase is done – the jury has helped in shortlisting the plethora of brands to a select few. Now they have passed on the mantle to the opticians who will vote to choose the 17 Award winners that will be felicitated on October 18!
Who is eligible to vote?
The voting application for VP Awards 2023 is open exclusively for eye care practitioners and professionals employed directly or indirectly in the eyewear business in the MENA region.
Winners will be announced at Visionplus EXPO 2023, (Dubai) on October 18, 2023, at the Festival Arena Exhibition Centre, Dubai
