PRADA has organised a series of digital talks exploring culture, fashion and lifestyle via Instagram. As part of the Prada universe which is called ‘Pradasphere’, these series of exploratory discussions are on a wide variety of topics and is called ‘Possible Conversations’
Fashion exists as an essential part of a wider cultural conversation: it is a participant in a dialogue, between different belief systems and mediums.
At this time, in the current landscape which is be re-shaped by certain limitations, it is important to work within those limitations & yet thrive brilliantly through innovation in technology. With this mindset Prada launches Prada ‘Possible Conversations’, a series of live dialogues between thinkers, cultural arbiters and fashion figures across the world-bringing together individuals, with their variety of thoughts.
A digital iteration and evolution of Prada’s international live event programmes, speakers are connected together on Prada’s Instagram to engage in real-time conversations. Echoing a belief in fashion’s inherent nature – the inspiration comes from multiple realms of art and architecture, music, cinema and more.
These series involved interesting topics like ‘Fashion in Times of Crisis’ with two fantastic speakers. Speaker on one end of the conversation was Alexander Fury-Fashion Features Director of AnOther Magazine and Men’s Critic of the Financial Times. The other end of the conversation was addressed by Pamela Golbin-Author, curator and Artistic Director of Jacquard x Google Arts & Culture Artist Residency.
Another interesting topic held was ‘Creating in a New World, this conversation was held between two eminent speakers again. One speaker was Lee Daniels – American film and television writer, director and producer. The other speaker was Jeffrey Katzenberg – Founder and Chairman of the Board of Quibi, entertainment industry leader and Co-founder of DreamWorks SKG. These series provide an interesting dimension to the world of fashion and lifestyle.

Each of these conversations also results in a donation from Prada to UNESCO, whose work during the COVID-19 pandemic is focusing on the importance of culture, creativity and education for over 1.5 billion students worldwide affected by school and university closure, as well as on a programme to increase international co-operation in science.
