The collection melds vintage and contemporary shapes
Quirky cool, irreverent with a touch of glamour, Dsquared2’s DNA shapes the Spring Summer 2016 eyewear collection. An accessory essential in the Dsquared2 look, next season’s lineup of frames for women and men are 
not made for going incognito. Each design expresses its individuality by melding vintage and contemporary shapes with modern materials, colours and textures.
Next summer, Dsquared2 women’s sunglasses are defined by the cat-eye. Seductive and feminine, the Annabelle (DQ0199) design mixes acetate tops with an inner frame piped in thin yellow gold metal, its sides accented with a sprinkling of Swarovski crystals. Ashlyn’ s (DQ0209) soft cat-eye is in contemporary shades of purple, yellow and Havana, with transparent and opaque mixed fronts and color-blocked temples. Finding inspiration in an iconic geometric style, Jim (DQ0201) updates the look with a double metal bridge and sleek and flat fine metal frames injected with 
acetate. A refined take on an aviator, the Amelia’s (DQ0227) clean metal profile with a double bridge is designed for sophisticated adventure seekers.
A flawless take on a retro rounded frame, Dsquared2’s iconic unisex season style Junior’s (DQ0202) design twist includes a double bridge and a modern neutral palette.
Men’s eyewear taps the same elegance meets streetwear influence that informs Dsquared2 men’s ready-to- wear collections. Updated classic pilot shapes include Benjamin (DQ0203) with flat metal temples and a tridimensional bridge and the wide Ken Style (DQ0226) with thick acetate frames with metal inserts. Crafted 
from two different colour metals, Gil’s (DQ0205) new geometric design features contrast lacquer on the top and a tridimensional bridge. Square men’s frames are a signature Dsquared2 eyewear look, next summer they are refreshed with flat fronts and double bridge in Geremy (DQ0207). Bringing to mind the athletic shades of the 90s, Mat’s (DQ0211) classic small soft squared colorful lenses and frames are finished with tactile rubber edges, the temples inset with a metal plate inscribed with the brand’s logo. Rock star attitude is infused in Kody (DQ0213), an androgynous neo-retro pilot crafted with layers of contrast color acetate and metal.
Vintage forms shape next season’s spectacles. Softly rounded (Bremen DQ5181) and softly squared (Hamburg DQ5184) have timeless appeal with modern edge courtesy of subtle details: a raised relief hinge and contrasting color multi-layered acetate frames. For women, Cologne’s (DQ5183) svelte cat-eye in fine wire features metal tops in a geometric shape, while Oxford (DQ5180) presents striking color contrasts sleekly merged within the frame, amplified by transparent temples that reveal a metal brand plate within their core. A unisex vintage look (Nottingham DQ5178) melds acetate and metal with a key nose and soft squared lenses.
