ic! berlin teamed up with Dawid Tomaszewski to create Grażyna
Germany’s favourite eyewear label and Berlin’s fashion darling would like you to meet a new style icon: Grażyna, an oversized, glamorous sunglass and the first acetate frame from the hugely successful ic! berlin and DAWID TOMASZEWSKI collaboration.
In 2015 ic! berlin teamed up with the Polish-born, Berlin-based ladieswear designer DAWID TOMASZEWSKI to create three featherlight, ultra feminine screwless sheetmetal sunglasses. In 2016 the collaboration continues with Grażyna, a multi-faceted acetate sunglass in two autumnal colourways: soft caramel with bronze and rich havanna with teak.
Working with acetate for the first time, Tomaszewski worked closely with the ic! berlin design team to bring his signature architectural and graphical structures into a multifaceted three-dimensional frame. His inspiration – the eclectic colour world of the 1960s and 70s – lead him to caramel and havanna, accents which perfectly compliment the rich autumn tones and intense colour gradients found in the upcoming DAWID TOMASZEWSKI Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.
Grażyna from ic! berlin will be available from February 2016 and as part of the DAWID TOMASZEWSKI Autumn/Winter Prêt-à-porter 2016 collection.
