Sensual, modern, imaginative and provocative, Miu Miu introduces its Fall/Winter 2015 Eyewear Collection alongside a special ‘Reveal’ collection
The new Miu Miu eyewear collection is a creative blend of contradictions and stylistic touches. Established elements are re-assembled, turning elegance and sophistication into something new. Glitter fabric, suede leather, crystals and mirrors – iconic elements of Miu Miu’s eyewear collections – are reinterpreted, giving life to a retro-inspired women’s collection.
In the new Miu Miu ‘Reveal’ special project, unconventional design takes the form of large, eccentric frames, a well-balanced combination of thick profiles and ethereal lenses overlapping the frame. These glasses create an interplay of masks and transparencies: their oversize silhouettes highlight rather than conceal the face.
Multifaceted crystals enrich the suede-covered fronts as well as the pave temples of the collection’s new models. Lastly, Miu Miu reinterprets metal frames with a mirror and coloured effect, which adds a glamorous touch.

The first sunglass model in this collection, which hit the catwalk at Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2015 show, is characterised by a square silhouette with large lenses overlapping the thick frame. The oversize lenses reveal the frame, which is made from acetate embellished with a glitter fabric, a key theme running throughout Miu Miu’s collections.

The second model is made entirely from acetate and stays true to the collection’s distinctive oversize shape characterised by unique lenses overlapping the front. Available in tones of Ivory and Tortoiseshell, Jade and Medium versions.

This squared and irregular front is reduced in size and harmoniously combined with metal detailing and acetate temples. The colour palette echoes that of the special collection with shades of Ivory and Tortoiseshell in the Cloud, Jade and Medium versions, along with Miu Miu lettering logo on the temples.

Large, retro-inspired shapes- the front of this model features a feminine, slightly cat-eye silhouette, while the temples are enlivened by dazzling hand-applied micro-crystals. This model comes in hues of opal clay and amaranth, as well as in classic nuances of black and medium tortoiseshell. The model has Miu Miu lettering logo.
SMU 08R
A sophisticated blend of two Miu Miu icons: sparkling micro-crystals and precious suede leather. These sunglasses feature the Noir collection’s distinctive and refined frame. The rounded front is highlighted by fine hand-applied suede inserts and enlivened by a cascade of shimmering multifaceted micro-crystals. The delicate front is harmoniously balanced by slim metal temples.

Miu Miu’s creative experimentation meets a vintage note, giving life to these unique sunglasses. Feminine, sinuous lines reveal a sophisticated construction where an upper metal profile applied onto acetate circles creates a playful mirror and coloured effect.

An optical frame with a precious, feminine flair. The acetate front is embellished with suede inserts and illuminated by dazzling hand-applied micro-crystals. The front comes in shades of opal black, amaranth, pink and clay, combined with unique tone-on-tone finishes. The temples feature a slim metal structure bearing the Miu Miu engraved logo.
