World Sight Day is universally remembered on the second Thursday of October every year
Representing the vision care industry as media since the last 18 years, this day becomes a whole lot more important for us. There are a lot of organisations that do a lot of work throughout the year to help people across the world achieve good vision. The last year has seen a lot of initiatives from organisations like Essilor, Zeiss, Johnson & Johnson and others that would help in the process of not just bettering vision but eradication of blindness.
With a large section of people in the underdeveloped parts of the world suffering from partial or complete blindness, the work that these organisations big and small have been putting in to help people improve their quality of life, should be applauded. This World Sight Day, let’s applaud these organisations for the work they’ve done.
