The Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) is to be a vital part of Optrafair London, which will be held 11-13 April 2014 at Olympia, near Kensington.
Seizing the opportunity to meet with its members and others within the optical profession, the Association will also play an active role in delivering CET as part of the show’s official agenda.
Commenting on the announcement Elaine Grisdale, ABDO’s head of professional services and international development, said “Optrafair London is an ideal platform for the Association to provide its members with an additional opportunity to acquire CET and to
network with fellow professionals. We are currently liaising with Perspective – formerly Replay Learning – the show’s other CET provider, together with Optrafair London co-sponsor, Optician, regarding the special CET lecture that ABDO will host on each day of the show.”
Michael Potter, ABDO’s head of marketing and communications, said: “In addition to the ABDO CET provision, Optrafair London will be an important showcase for ABDO College and the College will have a stand in the exhibition hall.
ABDO continues to work closely with the Optrafair organisers, the FMO. Earlier this year we had a very prominent and successful presence at Optrafair 2013 in Birmingham, which resulted in a significant increase in the number of dispensing opticians attending the event. ABDO is therefore delighted to be actively involved with Optrafair London and working cooperatively with its partners.”
