Boston, USA, February 2013 – Adlens®, the global leader in variable focus eyewear, hosts an inspirational sales event to coincide with the opening of its Boston office.
The two day event was held at Fenway Park. The home of the Boston Red Sox, winner of seven world series, was chosen for its association with enthusiasm and team spirit. Sales Representatives from across the United States came together to meet the Adlens® team and find out more about the unique technology and the company ethos to equip them for selling its products. E. Dean Butler, Adlens® board member, and founder of Lenscrafters, spoke to the group about the innovation and technology trends in the optical business.
An in depth company history and an overview of the strategic direction for the future of the technology was followed by extensive product training to establish a detailed knowledge of both Fluid-Injection and Alvarez. Adlens® Head of Training, Sue Creek, engaged participants on the benefits and position of the product, incorporating a video of genuine consumer reactions to Adlens® products to demonstrate the joy that variable focus eyewear instils in the wearer.
David Eichelberger, Director of Sales USA, and Scott McClure, Regional Sales Manager Southeast, lead interactive strategic sales discussions, encouraging innovative ideas for potential new approaches for engaging consumer interest.
All agreed that the meeting was invaluable for everyone involved. It gave Sales Representatives the opportunity to gain insightful knowledge of the future of optics, whilst at the same time sharing experiences and working with the Adlens® team to ensure they are fully supported in the field.
Experienced Sales Representative Tom Pearse commented: “I want you and all the folks who made the sales meeting possible, to know that in my 40 plus years of attending these functions, it was the very best meeting I have ever attended. There was more excellent information disseminated than I have ever received. Everything was up front and pertinent to Adlens® and how to be successful.”
The meeting concluded with a tour of the new Boston office. Tom Speed, Sales Development Manager, guided the tour and gave a history lesson of the area along Lewis Wharf, after which everyone gathered together for dinner, drinks, dancing and fun, accompanied by some classic John Lennon™ music.
