St James’s Palace – home to British monarchs for 17 generations – saw an unprecedented celebration in the first week of December, 2013, for one of London’s most respected opticians.
Royal Warrant holder, Roger Pope, raised his glass to nearly 350 longstanding customers, colleagues, ophthalmologists and suppliers, thanking them for their loyal support.
Since opening the doors of his practice in Marylebone 25 years ago, Mr Pope and his colleagues have gained a reputation for looking after the visual requirements of a broad cross section of British society, as well as overseas visitors who want the very best of vision. His discretion, and passion to seek out the very best optical products from around the world, has earned the business an unrivalled following, culminating in the accolade of gaining a ‘Royal Warrant for Her Majesty The Queen in 2006.’
“Who would have thought we would be here today after opening the doors, with some trepidation, in New Cavendish Street 25 years ago. I would like to thank all of those friends who have supported the business during the years,” said Roger.
Today with a sister practice in Dulwich Village, Roger Pope and his business partner and fellow optician, Stephen Hopkinson, employ seven dispensing opticians and five optometrists.
“We would like to thank the wonderful loyalty, enthusiasm and dedication of our staff during this time for providing the very best eye examinations and service.”
