Established in 1996, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) was formed with a view of providing opportunities for Hong Kong’s businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SEMs), to connect them to business partners from around the globe. Just like every year, the 2018 edition further strengthens this motive. The three-day fair was inaugurated on November 6 2018. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the fair was held at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.
With a showcase of 143 companies. Exhibitors targeted a different category of buyers, those who looked for products which are unique and helped them differentiate their offer from competition. The 2018 edition of Hong Kong International Optical fair witnessed 17 French companies including Minima who has been exhibiting for 23 years, and also 32 Italian, 31 Japanese, 54 Korean, with collections carefully designed for the Asian market.
The Hong Kong Trade Fair proved to be an excellent opportunity for businesses across the globe to participate in the Hong Kong markets. It gave them a chance to avail the benefits of reduced tax rates as well as the proximity to the mainland Chinese market making it a Mecca for both, the traders and the investors.
