Thélios, a subsidiary of luxury giant LVMH, is set to acquire the renowned French eyewear brand Vuarnet from NEO Investment Partners, marking its first proprietary label. Thélios, known for producing eyewear for top fashion houses like Dior and Fendi, aims to diversify its portfolio with a brand rooted in eyewear tradition and heritage.
Vuarnet, founded in 1957 by optician Roger Pouilloux and Olympic skier Jean Vuarnet, holds a strong legacy in France and is synonymous with style. The acquisition will also provide Thélios access to Vuarnet’s expertise in glass lenses, aligning with sustainability goals. The brand will maintain its distinct identity, emphasizing lifestyle and urban wear.
