For their Spring/Summer 2014 collection, Mykita adds new designs to its Decades Sun collection, further expanding its collection of matte-finished eye-wear.
Jarvis and Giles are the two new models entering the ‘Decades Sun’ collection, bringing the brand’s matte theme a step further. These designs feature two fairly conventional shapes, square and panto, which are given a new, sporty look through the addition of a double bridge.
The comfortable fitting and uniquely positioned top bar brings about a sculptural dimension reminiscent of a vintage metal frame silhouette. The matte surfaces combined with translucent colours highlight the luxurious adaptation of these familiar shapes.
The company envisions Decades Sun line as a marriage of tradition and zeitgeist. With its own colour and design concept linking modern technology with classic forms, the new line features contemporary classics. The lightweight stainless steel frames, in combination with the modern frame colours, make a conscious break from the classic form. The lenses for all models are fitted with a light gold-mirrored coating that complements with the gold-coated hinge and ensures maximum protection with visual perfection.
