A New B2B Integration For The Optical Trade

Last month, four industry veterans and founders, Mr. Umang Gada, Mr. Mandar Shivadey, Mr. Rajnikant Shukla and Mr. Kedar Mulye launched ScalePlay, a portal to support brand owners and retailers. The portal was launched through a virtual event that received an overwhelming response from the industry. All attendees were given a walkthrough of the platform and its capabilities. The event was titled-BOOM- BRAND OWNERS ONBOARDING MEET. It ended on a positive note with the vendors as well as retailers showing eagerness to experience the platform.

ScalePlay.in, is positioning itself as a business to business online marketplace for opticians and brand owners to connect and transact. The platform claims to offer digitalization just like the large players without similar capital investments. It will be offering a subscription based model to vendors as well as retailers in the country.

Some features that the platform promises to provide – unified sourcing for the retailers, CRM programmes for the retailers, inventory management, auto-invoicing and account receivables management. Brand owners can also launch and display their collections on this platform with assisted logistics for deliveries and returns, quick roll out of sales schemes and offers, besides 24 hours access.

ScalePlay claims to offer independent players – both retailers and brand owners, a digital platform to do their business at the same competitive level as the large-scale players.

By partnering with Fintech partners, the platform also aims to addresses the issue of over stretched credit periods. ScalePlay claims to offer brand owners a 15 days payment cycle on its platform for their supplies bringing it down from the current duration of six months or more.
