Serengeti Photochromic lenses work by adjusting to changing light conditions to prevent eye strain. While blocking out harmful UVA and UVB rays, Serengeti lenses darken in bright sunlight and lighten in low light and overcast conditions delivering the ultimate in protection and visual acuity.
Serengeti lens also undergoes a colour distortion test to make sure the colours seen while driving are correct. The quantity and quality of light passing through the lens are adjusted so important colours, like traffic lights, are seen perfectly.

These sunglasses are available in two types of lens material, Ultra-light mineral glass lens, which are 20% thinner and lighter but can withstand extreme temperature changes and are chemically tempered to ensure scratch and impact resistance, and Polar PHD Trivex Lens, which are exceedingly lightweight, more impact resistant and comes with special coatings to repel water, finger prints, and debris while anti-reflective coating absorbs glares and backside reflections.
