The trade-only event draws more than 30,000 eye care professionals each year through its worldwide conference and exhibition on eye care and eye-wear
Come September, 2014, the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas will host the 26th annual Vision Expo West from 17th to 18th September. Organised jointly by Reed Exhibitions and the Vision Council, the event will see an educational conference held from September 17th to 20th, while the exhibition will go on the floors from September 18th to 20th.
And indeed, with more than 350 hours of continuing education and 190,000 sq. feet of exhibition space, Vision Expo West is on its way to become the premier networking, learning and buying event for the ophthalmic profession.
According to Tom Loughran, Group Vice President – Reed Exhibitions, “Vision Expo West promises to deliver absolutely anything and everything. Coming off a milestone anniversary year in 2013, we continue to learn from and build upon our successes; and this year is already exceeding expectations.” He adds, “The education opportunities are expanding, we’re welcoming new affiliate partners, and we’re adding new events all designed to optimize the attendee and exhibitor experience with a keen focus on helping improve business outcomes through networking and hands-on learning.”
At the Vision Expo West, visitors would get to attend the Spotlight Series conducted during extended morning and lunchtime hours. The series will feature Vision Expo’s first State of the Industry Address delivered by The Vision Council, a session on service delivery by Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, a breaking news update Health Care Reform as well as a new customer experience course delivered by renowned speaker Scott Deming. The new education highlights to be offered this September include the latest in dispensary, imaging, surgical and wearable technologies, a Global Contact Lens Forum, a Spectacle Lens Expert Track and crowd-sourced learning to enhance the ophthalmic profession’s most comprehensive continuing education program.
More than 400 companies are scheduled to exhibit, showcasing the latest products, trends and comprehensive solutions. Apart from the varied exhibits on the exhibit floor, over thirty education programs have been scheduled to promote dissemination of knowledge and networking among professionals.
According to Deborah Castor – vice president of shows for the Vision Council, “The year 2014 is poised to be the most successful year in the history of International Vision Expo & Conference.” She adds, “As we head into Las Vegas, we’re building upon the excitement and energy experienced in New York. The industry is at a momentous turning point as medical and product innovations abound. The continued growth of International Vision Expo & Conference proves that this is the event at which eye care professionals can see, learn and do it all.”
So this September, let’s wait in anticipation for the International Vision Expo West 2014, that has continued to give back to the ophthalmic community year after year.
