The IDRA Ocular Surface Analyzer by SBM Sistemi is a fully automated, delegable, comprehensive dry eye diagnostic system that performs four non-invasive tests in just five minutes. “We introduced the IDRA Ocular Surface Analyzer to the public at this year’s Vision Expo East in New York and received overwhelming positive feedback from our demonstrations of the product. The integrated diagnostic platform is easy to use and helps determine which layers to treat in relation to the patient’s type of deficiency,” states Ezequiel Lukin, Sales Manager of Diagnostic Equipment at Coburn Technologies. “An exam with IDRA ensures an analysis of each layer; lipid, aqueous and mucin.”
IDRA’s non-invasive tests produce values that are displayed in a user friendly grading scale that is ideal for patience engagement. Testing includes auto-interferometry, tear meniscus height measurement, auto-NIBUT, meibography and 3D meibomian gland imaging. Other possible examinations include bulbar redness classification, measurement of the pupil diameter, white-to-white measurement and blepharitis and cylindrical dandruff testing.
