The project funded by CooperVision through Optometry Giving Sight was launched by screening 650 children from Government Adi Dravida Welfare Higher Secondary School and provision of free spectacles to 43 children

CooperVision is a part of an ambitious project that will facilitate the vision screening of thirty thousand school children from underprivileged families. As part of the project, those identified with refractive errors will also receive free spectacles.
Apart from the children from Government Adi Dravida Welfare Higher Secondary School, an additional 100 children from Advent Christian Primary School in Palavakkam were also screened. During the initial phase of the campaign all those diagnosed with refractive errors were provided free spectacles as well. The project is part of India Vision Institute’s (IVI), ‘Eye See & I Learn’ campaign. It was launched in Chennai on March 1, this year.
