L’Amy Announces Launch of New Models From The Columbia Eliminator Polarized Eyewear Collection

loloL’Amy America, a division of global eyewear group TWC-L’Amy, announces the worldwide launch of 17 new models from the Columbia Eliminator polarized collection. With legendary features such as “H90” featherweight frame technology and Eliminator lenses that block 99.99% of reflected glare, the new collection exemplifies Columbia’s core values of outdoor, long-wear comfort and performance for men and women.

“For the first time ever we have created women’s specific designs, utilizing our ‘H90’ frame material. The Columbia core female consumer expects products that will allow her to spend extended amounts of time outdoors. She expects true performance, real comfort, and just like her male counterparts, appreciates technology that works. She is equally interested in feeling attractive, for added confidence, no matter the activity. She is not willing, however, to sacrifice function for fashion” says Worldwide Business Unit Manager Connie Reiss.

TimpanogasAnswering the function-with-fashion call are 3 new feminine models, providing definite trend appeal through color-blocking, simultaneous use of matte and shiny finishes, and flirty shapes, such as the cat-eye “LoLo”. The models are constructed of Columbia’s exclusive ‘H90’ material, an ultralight weight plastic, which has super tensile strength, and withstands the effects of both extreme heat and cold.

In addition to the new women’s offering, the 2013 range also bows to the ophthalmic channel of trade with acetate designs specifically tailored for easy scripting. Several new models offer easy “rx-ability”, along with of-the-moment design such as “Nampa”, a 6-base, handmade acetate, with decidedly straight top bar. “Corvallis”, a generous, wide-templed, wrap is also an easy 6-base RX. “Whitney”, with super-deep B measurement, is an exaggeration of traditional, easily recognizable shape. New models offer unique colorations such as grey-stripe tortoise, black-red fades, a new tortoise with wood effect and highly buffed, super smooth finish.

nampasFinally, the perfect combination of function and fashion, are offered in two trend-driven, outdoor-functioning designs; “Stitzers” and “Timpanogas”. “Stitzers”, a retro 80’s, large squared aviator, features handmade acetate frame front and H90 temples, appealing to hipsters and the more conservative alike. “Timpanogas” a beautiful, 8-base, aviator variation also features H90 temple construct. Both models, like all Columbia sunglasses, feature “Eliminator” polarized lenses, an exclusive technology. “Eliminator” polarized lenses eliminate reflected glare and are equipped with anti-scratch and shatter resistant properties.
